Abstract

The method of urodynamic studies to fully evaluate the anatomy and function of the lower urinary tract was introduced around the world in the 1970s, and used at Binh Dan Hospital and Diagnostic Center. Medic in 2002 [1; 4]. In response to the development of Urology, Military Hospital 175 (BVQY 175) is conducting a urodynamic survey on patients with indicated lower urinary tract symptoms. In geriatric cases with bladder opening to the skin in the 8th month, there is a disorder of the lower urinary tract, accompanied by sequelae of brain stroke. We monitor, evaluate and compare urine diaries between bladder drainage on pubic bone and urethral urine within 3 months when the patient starts optimal medical treatment is scientific evidence, contributing to help The surgeon decided to replace surgery in the lower urinary tract with optimal medical treatment.

Methods: We report a case of obstruction of the urethra that opened the bladder on the 8th pubic bone, sequelae of brain stroke. Patients were monitored bladder urine diary on pubic bone and urethral urine combined urodynamic survey before and after optimal medical treatment.

Result: After 3 months of bladder catheterization on the pubic bone, the patient may urinate incontinently.

Conclusion: Nursing work is very important in monitoring, evaluating urine diaries, taking care of urinary catheters, combined with optimal medical treatment to bring initial success to help surgeons decide to withdraw. Bladder drainage and patients who are not undergoing high-risk surgery in their 70s. Urodynamic examination is an essential designation for patients with lower urinary tract dysfunction.
