Abstract

Limb salvage surgery in the bone tumor may perform in many ways: bone transplant – allograft, autograft; free vascularised fibular graft; transplant with composite; total joint arthroplasty; external fixation limb lengthening surgery after removing total bone tumor; but “bone recycling with liquid nitrogen” is more convenient, and the initial result is good, it helps the patient increasing the quality of life. We report one case with UPS of the distal femur. The patient had been removed the total tumor widely, then transplanted with bone which was recycled with liquid nitrogen from the tumor. Three months after the operation, the function of the limb is 75% following MSTS score, no infection, no recurrence, or metastatic. The function of the limb is good aftersurgery for 3 months.
