Abstract

Objectives: Survey on the characteristics of dyslipidemia in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) treated at 115 people’s hospital.

Subjects: 190 CKD patients, diagnosed and treated at the Outpatient and Internal Nephrology Departments, 115 People’s Hospital, including 91 patients with internal medical treatment, 50 patients with hemodialysis and 49 patients with peritoneal dialysis.

Methods: prospective, cross – sectional study.

Results: - The proportion of dyslipidermia in CKD patients with internal medical treatment, hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis were 63.7%, 50%, 63.3%, respectively. The proportion of dyslipidermia in stage 1-2 and 3-5 CKD patients were 60.6% và 59.4%. The proportion of dyslipidermia in CKD patients caused by hypertension, diabetes, chronic glomerulonephritis, chronic pyelonephritis were 57,4%, 45,5%, 60,5%, 75,9%, 65,7%, respectively. The differences in the proportion of dyspidermia according to the treatment method, reason and stage of CKD were not statistically significant (with p > 0.05).

- The proportion of patients with disorders of more than 1 blood lipid component in the internal medical treatment group, hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis were 48.3%, 84%, 67.7%, respectively. The difference was statistically significant (with p < 0.05).

- The concentration of LDL-C in CKD patients with peritoneal dialysis was 3.37 ± 1.19, which is higher than that in patients with hemodialysis (3.09 ± 0.86) and patients with internal medical treatment (2.75 ± 0.94). LDL-C concentration in stage 3-5 was 3.29 ± 1.08, which is higher than in stage 1-2 CKD patients (2.70 ± 0.86). The difference was statistically significant (with p < 0.05).

Conclusions: - There was no difference in the proportion of dyspidermia according to the treatment method, cause and stage of CKD.

- The number of abnormal blood lipid components in the CKD patients with renal replacement therapy group was higher than that in the internal medical treatment group.

- LDL-C concentration in CKD patients with stage 4-5, renal replacement therapy was higher than that in CKD patients with stage 1-3b, internal medical treatment.
