Abstract

Pneumoperitoneum in blunt abdominal trauma occurs when there is a ruptured lesion of the hollow organ, or most commonly with rupture of the small intestine and colon... Typical clinical symptoms often show surgical abdominal signs, indicating for absolute surgery, depending on the situation that there is an appropriate management plan. In blunt abdominal trauma, only rupture of solid organs, abdominal free air is almost absent.

We reported a case of only liver rupture after blunt abdominal trauma and pneumoperitoneum appeared on the 3rd day after injury.
