The ethics statement for J175PMP are based on those by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Code of Conduct guidelines on how to deal with acts of publication misconduct thereby committing to examine allegations of misconduct in order to ensure the reliability of research. J175PMP follows guidelines of the International Committee for Medical Journal Editor (ICMJE).

Whistleblowing

Allegations of alleged misconduct that have specific, detailed proof to support the claim should be checked appropriately, whether they are raised secretly or named "whistle-blowers." COPE has a policy for the editors to respond to communication from whistleblowers.

Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism is when somebody presents the work of others (data, words or theories) as if they were his/her own and without proper acknowledgment. One of the biggest problems in journal publications which afflict science communication is plagiarism.

J175PMP policy is based on the 'Guidelines on Good Publication Practice' published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). COPE defines plagiarism as follows: "Plagiarism ranges from the unreferenced use of others' published and unpublished ideas, including research grant applications, to submission under 'new' authorship of a complete paper, sometimes in a different language... It applies to print and electronic versions."

We strongly reiterate its policy of disappointing plagiarism of all kinds. As per the quality policy J175PMP uses effective plagiarism check tool and publishes articles on the basis reviewer comments and after taking copyright.

In case, any attempt of plagiarism is brought to J175PMP notice accompanied with realistic evidence, the following steps would be taken:

  • After consulting the respective Editorial Board team, authors responsible for plagiarism will be debarred from publishing their papers in the future.
  • Heads of the Institutes of the offending authors are intimated for the case of plagiarism.
  • Such incidents of plagiarism are publicized through its journal in consultation with the respective editorial board team.
