Abstract

Thyroid storm, a life- threatening illness, requires physicians to approach, diagnose and treat appropriately . It is recognized to rise as a consequence of several factors, including infection, surgery, acute illness, and rarely, trauma. Aware of thyroid storm in a trauma patient is challenged because the emergency physician tends to attend to other common injuries. We report a multiple traumatic patient caused of traffic
accident, who was diagnosed as thyroid storm opportunely. Hence, surgical doctors have more experience in diagnosis and management of thyroid storm in trauma patient.
